School Choice
At Caddo Parish Public Schools, we are committed to providing families with high-quality educational options that best suit their child's needs. Through Caddo's School Choice program, eligible students have the opportunity to enroll in a preferred public school, regardless of their residential address, school system boundaries, or attendance zones. Enrollment opportunities will be based on school capacity as outlined in the district's School Choice Plan.
The school choice application window opens on February 28th and closes on March 28th, giving families time to explore available options and submit their applications. Students may qualify for school choice if their current or most recent school received a "D" or "F" performance rating for the most recent school year.
Our goal is to ensure that every child has access to an educational environment where they can thrive. We encourage families to review their options, consider their child’s needs, and take advantage of this opportunity to find the best fit for their future.

Other Transfers
Below are additional transfer options available to Caddo students for the 2025-2026 school year:
Majority to Minority (M-to-M) Transfers:
If a student belongs to the majority race at their current school, they can transfer to a school where they would be in the minority race to promote diversity.
No contract or requirement to remain at the new school.
No need to renew the transfer each year.
Transportation is limited—only provided to the closest eligible school.
Medical Transfers:
Available if a student has a medical condition requiring them to attend a specific school.
Medical documentation is required with the application.
No transportation is provided for this transfer.
The transfer must be renewed every year.
