🏈 Workforce Wednesday Spotlight: Tyianna Dukes!
Before beginning her internship, Huntington High School’s Tyianna Dukes knew the Independence Bowl primarily for football. Now, she’s discovering how much work happens behind the scenes to create a great experience for players and fans!
As one of 32 students participating in this fall’s CaddoWorks internship program, Tyianna is learning about the patience, planning, and teamwork needed to keep everything organized. She shared her gratitude for the Independence Bowl team, including Missy Setters and Erik Evenson, for helping her learn and grow.
Her advice to students considering an internship?
“Don't give it any second thoughts. You get to experience stuff you never would have before and learn a whole lot.”
Thank you to our Independence Bowl partners for opening doors for students and helping them discover opportunities beyond the classroom!

Behind every school is a principal who knows that leadership begins with caring for people.
It’s the welcome at the front door. The encouragement when a student needs it most. The support for a teacher on a difficult day. The phone call to a family. The quiet work that often goes unseen but makes a lasting difference.
This National Principals Month, Caddo Schools celebrates our incredible principals and the heart they bring to our schools.
To our principals: Thank you for knowing our students by name, believing in their potential, and helping them see it in themselves. Thank you for standing beside our teachers and staff and building strong connections with our families. We are grateful for you and proud to celebrate you. You are living out Excellence. Every One. Every Day.
💙 Help us show our principals some love! Share a thank-you or a favorite memory in the comments.

There are names a school never stops carrying.
Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, Caddo Parish Magnet High School honored two of its own, Lt. Cmdr. Jonas Kelsall and Senior Chief Petty Officer Robert Reeves.
They were Mustangs, lifelong friends, and Navy SEALs who answered the call to serve their country and lost their lives in Afghanistan in 2011.
Today, their families returned to the school they once called home as a new memorial mural was unveiled in their honor.
U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson joined the ceremony, spending time with the Kelsall and Reeves families and hearing more about the men behind the uniforms.
Twenty-five years after 9/11, we remember not only a day that changed our nation, but those who answered its call.
Jonas Kelsall and Rob Reeves will always be part of Caddo's story and will never be forgotten.
