Today, Caddo Middle Magnet officially received its National Blue Ribbon as they were celebrated in Washington D.C. by the U.S. Department of Education. CMM was also the only middle school in Louisiana recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. Caddo is seeing incredible gains in middle school math performance, and getting so national attention for it! Caddo was recently selected by Chiefs for Change to highlight the district’s efforts over the past 3 years to improve middle school math proficiency. Increasing time while providing extensive support to district classrooms, Caddo has seen a 9-percent increase in student achievement. Caddo Superintendent Dr. Lamar Goree was invited to speak on Capitol Hill with members of Congress and their staffs about how these gains became a reality.
