Amazon surprised Caddo Magnet High with a $10,000 donation to celebrate senior Guangjun Wang, who was recently selected as an Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship recipient. Last month, Guangjun was awarded a scholarship of $10,000 to study computer science or engineering at the U.S. college or university of his choice. Amazon Future Engineer, Amazon’s global philanthropic computer science education initiative, aims to increase student access to computer science education. The program funds high-quality STEM curriculum and educator professional learning to help school districts implement sustainable K–12 computer science initiatives. #wearecaddo #BIGdreamsstarthere

ArtBreak is bigger than ever and today we joined the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and community partners for a news conference to celebrate a showcase of arts programs. The community can visit the Shreveport Convention Center until April 14 to see more than 110 school exhibit booths and visual and literary art created by Caddo students. #wearecaddo #BIGdreamsstarthere

Thank you for your patience as school leaders have been working closely with the National Weather Service and local authorities to monitor weather conditions.

ALL CADDO SCHOOLS CLOSED: Due to the potential for severe weather and out of an abundance of caution, all schools and district sites will be closed on Wednesday, April 10. District leadership will continue monitoring weather conditions to determine when schools will reopen and will notify parents and staff.
