During this week's Caddo Parish School Board meeting, we celebrated the outstanding achievements of students and staff. We recognized our Louisiana Elementary Counselor of the Year, Students of the Year, Support Employees of the Year, and our Shreveport Chamber of Commerce 40 Under Forty honoree. Southern Hills Elementary was recognized as the first place winner of the Greening of the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum and Caddo Middle Magnet and Huntington High took home first place in the Christmas in Roseland Christmas Cards to the Community program. #wearecaddo #BIGdreamsstarthere

The R.W. Norton Art Gallery and Caddo Association of School Librarians will be hosting a Holiday Book Fair & Family Day on Saturday, December 16 from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm at 4747 Creswell Avenue.
Sales from the book fair will benefit Caddo students and school libraries by providing books, incentives, and funding for author visits. Donations and books will be collected to help rebuild the Southern Hills Elementary library.
During this event, there will be storyteller readings, activities, a holiday exhibition, string quartet performances, and MORE! We hope to see you there!
Additionally, the Norton will be collecting coats for children in need and stuffed animals for first responders to provide comfort for children in emergency situations.
